So, I’m just chilling at a friend’s house and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking recently. I realize that most likely only seven people will ever read this but I’m going to say it regardless. I sincerely think that I have unrealistic expectations. For love in general. Pop culture and mass media had an effect on me as a child with fairy takes and Cinderella stories, effectively skewing my point of view on love and relationships. Making me believe that I am entitled to get swept off my feet by every man who wishes to pursue me simply because I’m the female. Which is completely wrong. What have I ever done to deserve someone else’s effort, time and money? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Most of us girls always hope for that shining armor to come over the hill, but what have we done to warrant it?
It all seems a little pointless sometimes.
